Microsoft today released a new mobile operating system for businesses called Windows Embedded Handheld.


The OS is designed for specific business tasks. For instance, a retail employee might use a device with the OS in the store aisles.


Motorola is the first phone maker to sell a device running the new software, called the ES400 enterprise digital assistant.
